A beautifully designed & crafted set of chairs from the ‘Volany’ range. These were designed by John Herbert for A. Younger. Younger furniture was produced in relatively low numbers so rarely come up - especially this model in this condition. These chairs are made from solid frame Afromosia and a lovely golden brown colour velour upholstery. This set consists of two carvers and two standard chairs. These chairs date from around the 1960s. This is a stunning minimalist styled set of dining chairs that are set to be an antique of the future.
Younger were renowned for their high quality workmanship and mainly retailed through the Department Store ‘Heals’.
The set has been rubbed back and refinished with multiple layers of hard wax oil along with a clean to the upholstery. This set is in very nice condition and shows very little wear or signs of heavy use. The fabric is also in very good condition with no marks. There is some line marks where the chairs have been stored but this should come out. The overall condition is a 8.5 out of 10. Very stunning chairs that will fit amazing around any retro or contemporary dining table.
