This is a fabulous sized teak bar by Turnidge of London. This is the rarest model we have come across and have not seen more than one other. It has a angled part so it would be perfect set against a wall. The bar has plenty of storage on the reverse for bottles and glasses behind sliding glass doors or the additional side cupboard. this large fantastic bar is made from teak veneer with afromosia ending and a a very high quality build. The bar haas a lovely white formica bar top with wonderful open glass shelving. This has so much class and style with very strong scandinavian design features making this an outstanding piece of furniture.
The original lights have been replaced with Led light strip to give a nice illumination to the bar. The bar is set on castors and can be moved around relatively easy.
This bar is in very good overall condition. It has been throughly cleaned and has been refinished hard wax oil . This bar has been extremely well looked after and only shows minimal signs of wear and no obvious marks or major scratches. The formica is in very clean order as well. Some chips to the lower plinth that have been filled and repaired. Overall this item is a very high 8.5 out of 10 and would look stunning in a mid century themed or contemporty home.
As with most Mid Century items of furniture, there will be signs of prior use, surface scratches, fading etc. But nothing to detract from how stunning this item looks. Please see photo’s for any obvious defects.
