This is a stunning example of a classic g plan desk from the mid century . This model is from the short-lived Form Five range and made from smooth teak with dark edging and solid brass handles. This g plan range used very plain smooth veneers along with minimalist styling and very sleek looking furniture. The desk also has wonderful stylish curved legs made from solid afromosia . The unit has bank of two drawers and cupboard with built in curved wood storage rack. There is also a felt lined central drawer. This is a stunning and very useful item of retro furniture that is made to a high standard. The desk would make a stunning addition to anyone’s home office.
The unit has been thouroughly cleaned and refinished in a combination of danish oils and waxes to give it the deep shine that it would have had back in the sixties. This item is in very good condition and would say condition wise, its an 8.5 out of 10. This has a very clean top and this is stunning g plan item with lovely sleek grains and buffer up brass handles . There is no significant marks or scratches. This desk shows very minimal wear and was very well looked after . Any marks or wear will be shown in the photographs.
