This wonderful desk is made by the small little known furniture brand of L Serlin & Sons Ltd. This English brand is known for its good quality drinks cabinets and bedroom furniture from pre war to the late mid century. This is a compact sleek desk. This desk is made in a high gloss finish and uses smooth contrasting mahogany and sycamore wood that creates a striking look. There is a bank of three drawers either side and a central top drawer. These all have sycamore fronts and stylish brass handles. The desk is set on atomic splayed legs that have a brass cap. The build quality of this item is very good and all drawers run very smoothly. A very lovely desk that will make a statement in anyone’s home office.
In great vintage condition. The desk has been cleaned and then refinished with a buffing hard wax to give a deep shine to the grain and enhance the original finish. The desk does show signs of wear and use but has a a clean and smooth finished top with only some minor marks. One drawer has a very small chip. Overall in very clean condition and a nice example. 8 out of 10 for overall Condition Please see images which will show any major defects or marks.
