Pair of matching beaver and Tapley units. These are from the original Tapley 33 range which is their iconic modular and singular units. These are from the early range where they have the charm and original oil finish. Not the glossy varnish of the modern units. The units are made to a very good standard as with most Beaver and Tapley furniture. These have the sleekest and ultra modern design but date back to the early 60s. This is for a two door cupboard and matching chest of three drawers with matching dark wood edging that protrudes and add such a flair of mid century style. The units have been updated with the addition of metal industrial 12’’ Hairpin legs. This gives them a modern look and a fresh practical use.
The units are in lovely restored condition and were originally very well looked after. They show minimal polish marks and surface scratches but have been cleaned and rubbed back and refinished with coats of danish oil. This gives them the original deep shine they would of had. Very nice plain teak grains and overall are a high 8.5 out of 10. Any significant marks or defects are shown in the pictures.
