Stunning Tallboy chest of drawers by the British brand White & Newton of Portsmouth. This set of drawers is made from a grainy teak and feature a top reeded drawer front and lovely angled grab handles. The unit is made up of seven drawers in total and set on original turned solid wood legs. White & Newton are renowned for their high-end furniture and this range was designed by Arthur Edwards. They date from around the early 1960s and are made to a very high standard.
The drawers have been rubbed back and refinished in a combination of oil and buffing wax. The top of the unit and the drawer fronts are very clean. The sides show some feint marks but overall the drawers are damage free and in great working order. After refinishing, the drawers are an 8 out of 10 for overall condition. Any defects or marks will be highlighted in the pictures.
